Bounty Hunter II report
« on: August 29, 2004, 05:41:09 AM »
Well I got back off the rig a few days ago and the scatter gun I ordered a couple of weeks ago, been looking longer than that!, was waiting for me.

The fit and finish is OK, not the best in the world but it will do, the hammers hit real firing pins though, and it has removable choke tubes and an oiled walnut stock.  Action is a little stiff, but not to stiff and will lossen with time.  I rolled a 5gallon bucket to about about 75 feet befor #7 shot finaly stoped penitrating and stuck in the plastic.  Should be good for squirl and bird also.  Only real complaint is that I couldn't get it with a 24-26 inch barrel, but it's surprising how well it patterns with the short barrels.

I did put a mercury recoil compenstator in it, though I don't notice much differance, may have to try it again after the bruse on my shoulder goes away!

I got the gun from Cravin Morguns, and he was good as his word and a pleasure to deal with.

All in all a pretty good gun for the money,

I been out on my rig also(in the field on the tractor)...anyway glad to here you like your new gun. I checked out your web-site posted above and have got to compliment you on your work! those are great looking knives and hawks, I saved your site and when it slows up alittle I'm gonna need some prices from you.

Thanks Craven, just drop me an email if you have any questions.

BTW, will any 26" barrels fit the bounty hunter?  If so that would make it even more versatil.
