Guys what velocity are you getting with you 6, 6.5, 7 tcu in carbine bbl. How do they work on deer/hogs.

Soon to find out how I like one. I am having a Rem 600 chambered in 6.5 TCU, but don't have a chrony to answer your question.

7tcu in a 14 inch pistol barrel I get 2000 fps with a 139 grain bullet and I am not pushing the pressure limits , In a carbine length barrel I would think you would get 2400fps ?

I have an 11" 6.5 TCU by VV. My last batch of 120 grain Remington CL bullets load averaged 1937fps with IMR3031 making muzzle energy about 1000ft#. This is a stiff hunting load and the maximum in my barrel. Next on my todo list is to chrony the 100 grain Hornady loads and see how they do. I've got no experience on game yet with this combo. I'll probably switch to 120 Sierras for deer season as I hear good things about that bullet in the 6.5TCU on deer.
