Bushnell Scopechief VI

I have this scope in a 3-9x40 but the variable is out of wack, the siting gets thrown off when ever you change the power. My question is Will bushnell fix this and is it worth fixxing? What sort of quality is the scopechief comparable to?
Any info would be great.
