Tad, You need to make what we call a slave pin. I made mine out of a section of nail that is just slightly smaller in diameter than the hammer pin. Cut it the same length as the hammer itself and smooth up the ends a bit. A Dremell tool comes in real handy here. As you dissasemble the action, take a close look at the way the hammer spring is situated before removeing hammer and spring. Put new spring in place on the hammer inserting slave pin to hold it in place. Insert assembly in place and replace hammer pin pushing out the slave pin. Sounds easy doesn't it.I will NOT admit how long it took me to learn this. Good luck. Walt :grin:
