Yes. I did a review on their Night Vision Bionculars perhaps a couple years back. You can find it here:

I'm sure they've made improvements since then and no doubt they are even better now than then. I sure hated to let them go back but just didn't have the money to buy them at that time.

With Nite Vision, like anything else, you get what you pay for. I got a First gen. Russian Rifle scope and had a pair of first gen. Russian gogles. They were old Russian military stuff and they do work. They are alot heaver than some of the stuff out there today, and not near the quality of optics or the lite intencifaction. For something to play around with pick up a cheap set and see what you think. The good stuff is over $ 2,000 and some over $ 3,000 if you deside you want the best, but there are all different levels inbetween. Fun toys.

GB,

At the Bushnell outlet store I think they have demo model mono's for $125  That's what I'm thinking about.

Thanks for the link!

Catfish,

Yep, you can blow a couple three grand if you want a Gen III scope, more than that if you really want to.  I'm just looking for something to take while I walk to the John at night so I can see what's make'n that noise in the hedge row... racoon, bear, .....  huh?

Thanks,
SS

Like Catfish said, you get what you pay for.  I am of course, spoiled rotten, my employer sees we have the good stuff........ try surplus if you can find any cheap enough to fit your budget.

Here price is a pretty good general indicator. But look to see if it says what generation it is. Much of the military surplus stuff is 1st generation. It is of the poorest quality. Third generation will always be priced in the thousands of dollars. Second generation is pretty darn good but not up to third generation but should be available new for well under $1000. I think the Bushnell binos I reviewed were in the $500-$600 range retail. They are second generation.

If it doesn't say and if price is much under $500 new assume first generation.
