So what kind of accuracy are you getting?

I'm thinking of getting a Huntsman for my son. He's a crack shot with most any firearm he tries. What kind of accuracy could we expect with the huntsman? He got his first ever whitetail last year with a borrowed Knight Muzzleloader, but I can't see spending that much $$ on a Muzzleloader.

How about some bragging from you guys!!

mag41vance,
I have a 3x9x32mm Simmons scope on my Huntsman. With that setup and using 90 grains of FFFg and a 295 gr. powerbelt hollowpoint. I consistantly clover-leaf my shots at 100 yards. I shoot off a bench but don't use a "site-vise". I just use an old military ammo can that I lay an old towel across as my rest. However, I will state, that I also run two spit-wet patches down the barrel between shots, which cleans the black powder residue out of the bore.

Hope that helps,
Buck

i dont know if its as good as BB's at 100yards but...
mine will put 3 rounds through the same hole all day at 50yrds
my load of choice is 85grains pyrodex w/ 300gr horndy XTP and triditions 45/50 sabot.
I too swab with a wet patch then a dry patch between rounds.

I also have a knight and T/C muzzleloader.....and the huntsman will out-shoot them both.....and a lot easier to clean.
