Remington is back in the race
« on: August 31, 2004, 08:13:16 AM »
I had posted this info. on the small bore forum and was asked to post the information here o remington so here goes.
Remington has came out with their new varmint rifle in a single shot. Its based on the old xp 100 type action Or as greybeard said the rem 600
action. The rifle will be called the XR 100 and it will be in three cal.s
204 ruger 1in 12" Twist  26" barrel
223 rem.  1 in 12" twist  26" barrel
22-250 rem. 1 in 14" twist  26" barrel

I did see a picture of the rifle and it looked real nice.

I have seen the one you are referring to, but I have my eye on one of these single shots in 7mm Remington Magnum.

I just can't decide if I would rather drop about the same amount of money on a Dakota Arms Model 97 Longe Range Hunter in either 7mm Dakota Magnum or 7mm Rem. Mag.??? What do you think??? I know they are different creatures but...

Stay Safe. Happy Shooting.  :D

OK you asked for it. The old farmer was going to town in his old wagon pulled by a mule, The old mule stumbled and the old farmer said
THATS ONE so they go on a little farther and the mule stumbled again
and the old farmer said THATS TWO well lo and behold the went down the road a little farther and the mule stumbled once more the old farmer pulled out his trusty 45 and shot the mule hence ThATS ONE. ooops forgot to say REMINGTON,         Adios Amigos.............Joe............
