I have a Thompson Black Diamond and would like to scope it. Any recomendations..... not over $200. Prefer a 2-7X or 3-9X max.

I like the Bushnell Dusk to Dawn Muzzleloader/Shotgun scope. Under $200.00. I have Leuplod's on most of my guns, but I do have the Bushnell also. It is a good scope in my opinion.

Look at a Bushnell Trophy with a Mil-Dot reticle and possible the best selection is a Bushnell Elite 3200 with rain guard. I have them both and I really like them - that doesn't really mean anythig either...

T/C has a 3x9 out made just for the BP shooter. I do not know who actually makes it but mine has given excellent service on my Omega 50.

I have no advise to add as far as the scope goes. Everyone gave some good advise there. I haven't handled a black diamond, but I have a system one and a thunderhawk, both do a fine job of burning up the scope when fired. If you buy a good quality scope I would recommend you get some scpoe protection.

I've been using a Cabela's Pine Ridge 2-7X32 on my Encore for a couple years now with no problems. I've even used to shoot pigs by moonlight. For $70, it's been a pretty decent little scope.

I bought a Sightron SII 3-9X42 for my TC Encore after I heard some of the reviews on this board.

$199.99 here: http://www.tjgeneralstore.com/sightron_scopes.htm was the best price that I found.

Optics are as clear as those on my Weaver Grand Slam with lots of vertical adjustment. The duplex lines are a bit thick for my taste in target shooting but work fine for hunting.
