Do most of the CAS shoots have side matches for cartridge pistol? If they don't, is there any type of cowboy shooting just for cartridge pistol? Thanks Eric

Not sure I understand what you mean..?
Most of us use cartridge guns to shoot our main match. Our side matches tend to be speed for match guns, or volume for shotgun, or derringer and pocket pistol.

Sorrry for not being very clear. I just wanted to know if there are single action shooting contest just for pistols. No rifles or shotguns. Thanks Eric

The short answer is no. CAS events are typically for two pistols, one rifle and one shotgun. There is a movement in NCOWS called Working Cowboy and it uses one pistol and one rifle, with staged shotguns, when used.

Of course, there are a lot more folks out there shooting cowboy guns, so you might be able to find others who want to shoot your way. Good luck.
