Two questions (I hope they're easy)...

Where's the SN on a model 99?

Where can I find what year it was made (from the serial#)

Were some of the 99's not serialized at all?  there are no serial numbers or letters on the barrel or receiver, nothing ground off or anything.  It does have a beautiful walnut stock, and no checkering.  Does that give anyone a clue as to the age of this gun?
