Ok I made the plunge and bought an encore in .300 WM. I ordered a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9, havn't decided on rings and base yet. Scope and rifle will be here within a week. I am going to use factory ammo in this gun. I am also going to use ammo with 180 grain Nosler Partition bullets. There several offerings from Winchester, Remington and federal. Some with moly, some without. Does anyone have personal experience with these loads in a factory 26" encore barrel. My desire is to end up with 4 boxes of ammo from the same lot which should last many years. The rifle will be used for Elk only.
