Chronoed pistol velocities

Here is a table showing the chronoed velocities of several brands of 22 ammo in two of my pistols.
If you have some data I would like to see it.

redhawk44p:

Hmmm?   :?

Seems strange that you would see a ~20% spread in the velocity between the high's and lows of the Remington ammo...and a little less than that with the Federal product.  I would have thought that even "picnic shells" would give you the performance you see with the CCI (Stinger right?)  product.  I realize there are all kinds of variables involved...but do the results in your spreadsheet surpriZe you?

I shoot a lot of the CCI Blazer in my Rugers and Wolf Match Target & Extra in my Pardini...I've always been interested to see how this ammo might perform.

Interesting info redhawk44p.  Thanks!

The CCI ammo listed are Mini Mags. I think premium ammo would give a tighter spread than bulk ammo. I am becoming very disillusioned with bulk ammo. I get some rounds that are duds and others that sound like CB caps. The Mini Mags perform like a champ every time.

For my target shooting with guns like my Smith 41 I use CCI std vel with very good results. My MKII does well with Federal target. For my Single Six I actually use the Federal bulk stuff and the SS shoots it very well.

Very good info Redhawk.  Although I too find some inconsistency in the bulk ammo, for the most part it works just fine for killing pop cans.  The best bulk I've found is Federal.  I do wish they would offer solid bullets in bulk.

I was okay with the bulk ammo too until it started costing me missed squirels. I am in a competition with my son in law to see who gets the most squirrels and if I give him any slack he will kick my tail. CCIs always do their part if you do yours.
