I would like your opinion on what type of handgun is more dependable as far as what last longer and has fewer problems.  Would you say revolver or semi-auto style gets the nod?

I would say a revolver. Fewer moving parts. And I would make it a single action at that. Scott

Well, in general I'd say revolvers have fewer parts that can go screwy on you, but I've had revolvers that gave me nothing but problems and pistols that have worked flawlessly for years. You get what you pay for, for the most part.  A junky revolver is just that, junk.

:cb2: Like they say, "The less there is to go wrong, the less will go wrong." Not that they are infallible, but I'd have to agree with the wheelguns, and do to strength and simplicity, that can be further narrowed down to single action Rugers and Freedom Arms.
