ejection problem
« on: October 02, 2004, 09:49:46 PM »
i ran into this with cheap aluminum based shells in my sons 870 before.. but this seems different maybe.. my other son used a 12 gauge side by side st lewis and the winchester 1500 feet per second  steel shot loads would jamb the gun closed and would take quite abit of pressure to release the fired hull from its grip and aloww the gun to break open.. strange..?? havent had this problem before and have owned the gun for many many years..  i told hime to clean the gunn and chambers well.. maybe a little rust? dave..

i shot a M12 that had a tight enough chamber that the cheaper shells would all hang up.  if it hangs up on AA shells then it's the gun, otherwise i'd say that it's just the type of shell you're shooting.
