Is anyone shooting the little Spikehorn? Think I might try one. I wonder if it is as accurate as the regular 336.

I was thinking about getting one and having the chamber reamed out to 307 Winchester. That would make an awesome brush gun! :grin:

I've got a Spike-Horn, Mine likes 170 Rem.. Seems to be as accurate as any 20in. Barreled 336.

New York Hunter ,I thought about the same project,but I'm satisfied with the 30/30 170gr. Cor-lokts,over the years I've shot several ,deer ,hogs & a Smallish Black bear with the 170 gr. Cor-lokts, and never recovered a bullet ,I'm afraid for my use of a 30 cal. levergun,the 30/30 would be hard pressed to be Improved,even thouth the 307 is alot faster and is a great cartridge,I have other guns if I'm hunting where I feel I'll need more reach.

The older I get, the farther away I get from the beaten paths. That little Spikehorn looks like just what the Dr. ordered. Again, thanks for the replies.
