Just bought a Remington Sendero in 7mm STW. My question is this, whats the best scope for around $400 I can put on this gun ? The primary use will be for a Mexico Coues deer hunt next year. (175 to 350 yds)

Elite 4200 4x-16x-40mm AO or the 50mm version AO.

I have both of these scopes and I love them. One is mounted on a .25-06, the other is mounted on a 7mm ULTRA Mag, which has a bit more recoil than the 7mm STW. And I forgot on which rifle the other one is mounted.

I bought all of my Elite 4200s from Jon at the opticzone.com

Anyhow, they should be especially ideal for your Coues hunt because those deer are much smaller than whitetails, and shots are usually much, much longer.

How does the Elite 4200 stand up to a Nikon Buckmasters 4.5x14?? I have one of those now on a Mod 70 7mm mag and was wondering what the difference in quality was?

Optically the Bushnell 4200 is the better scope with better resolution and light gathering capability. It will be heavier then the Buckmaster and a little more pricey. CHeck with the www.theopticzone.com for prices on this. He handles both lines

I would consider either the Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x or the Nikon Monarch 4-12X.
