Useda compound miter, crosscut blade, matched the angle, taped the cut, drilled the 1/4 inch holes for reassembly as he grows, and cut off about 1 and 7/8 inches and added a Pachmaur? recoil pad.  Worked great, my son is happy.  Fit's him great.  Now if I can get him a dove...

Glad to hear it your project came out well rob4, now keep us advised on yours sons progress as a sportsman and hunter, but be careful, once you start to tinker with these fine little guns it gets to be addictive. I can see a scope rail and red dot on the little 20 gauge and shooting brenneke slugs for about $4.00 a box (light recoil, exceptional accuracy) and with it your son becomes an avid deer or hog hunter. You could even shoot it that way yourself or add a slip on recoil pad for a temporary quick fix to make the stock longer for you!!!....<><.... :wink:

:)  MSP ret that is exactly what I have done (so far) to my pardner youth model. I bought the gun for my grandson, but I use it a lot more than he does so I have a slip on pad to extend the stock for my use. I also have done the same thing to a 243 youth model and a 20/223 Rossi combo. Now we can both use the same guns. Am I cheap or what?
