How much are Encore frames going for?
« on: September 05, 2004, 06:49:01 AM »
I am feeling the urge to get into the TC single shot world again and am trying to find out how much Encore frames are selling for?  Used and new price ranges would be appreciated.

I didn't have any luck finding any in the classifieds forums.

Thank you!

my last purchased encore pistol frame in stainless steel was bought local for $283+ tax.......which came to $300 even. at the time, couldn't even get one anywhere else local.......not even in blue. blue usually goes around $250+ new around here.

It looks like an Encore project will have to be in the future for me as I don't have enough funds currently for what I would like.

Here's what I would be looking at:

Blue Encore frame
Katahdin carbine barrel  in .444 Marlin
Rifle stock and forend

From what I'm seeing, I'm thinking that would end up being about $550-$600 depending upon which stock and forend I buy!

I decided to go down and put a used, but looks like brand new, Marlin 444 Marlin lever action on layaway today.  $400 was the price, but I've been looking for one just like this for almost a year and it's the first one I've found in two states in this condition.  I was considering an Encore so I could go to some other calibers I've been wanting over the years, but will just have to put them on hold.

Thanks for the input!
