I'm at work just now but if I can find it at home I have the card of a guy who makes those things. He was at the last gunshow I went to. He had a bunch of caliber change tubes from center fire to rim fire, shotgun to smaller gage shotgun, bunch of stuff and not to hard on the pocket either. I'll look and post if I can fine it.
Love those .41s'

I see there is one of these adapters on Ebay currently listed.

Starting at $25.

Here is the item number. Don't know the guy or anything like that, I just read your post then noticed it on ebay later.

Good shooting!:)

I've heard that the 22lr doesn't shoot very accurate out of a 223 barrel becuase of the differences in diameters.  Any experience with this?

Can't help you with the .22, but i do have a Alex cartridge to convert a .25-06 to use .25ACP.  Despite the differences in caliber--.251-vs-.257, the darn thing actually shoots well, most factory loads a little over an inch at 25 yards, the best a little under.  This is off a bipod, by the way.

I now claim to have the world's largest .25ACP! :)

I bought it out of curiosity, but am thinking of taking it after squirrel.

Does anyone know of anyone who makes adapters to shoot .38s out of a 35 rem?  Be real nice to shoot and practice...

22LR adapters....

I have one from EA Brown for the .223 to shoot 22LR.

It works great. I use it in my 223 14" Contender barrel and the 223 - 21" Contender barrel. I also have two, that is made for shooting 22LR from my .375JDJ. YES.
It is a chamber adapter with a 22LR tube with rubber gromlet that centers the tube in the barrel. It only takes a couple of shots and turning the adapter in the barrel to get is real close to on with using the scope and 22LR Hollowpoints. It came with the barrel and I don't have a clue who made it. I can post photos if interested.

For some reason the link for mcace doesn't work. Any ideas?

On the Alex page they list Adaptors specifically for the Contender. Do these adaptors use the rimfire firing pin in the Contender ? or do they have the complete adaptor with the firing pin in the adaptor?

I would think an adaptor for shooting .22 WMR in a .223 would work fine as the bore diameters for both cartridges are normally the same, unlike the .22 LR which typically uses a smaller bore.

Have two MC Ace adapters for a 223 carbine; a stainless 22lr and blue 22mag.  The LR has worked very well for working daughter up to the 223.  Not target grade but fine for 30-40yd field work and plinking.  The blue mag sleeve, for whatever reason, us virtually useless.  May have to experiment with more brands of mag.  Who knows?!  As stated, with the bullet diameters, the assumption would be the reverse.

I had one that I bought at a yard sale that allowed you to shoot 22lr in a Hornet. The case wall at the mouth was thinner than paper and got deformed easily. I wouldn't waste my money on another one if my life depended on it. Based on my judgement, all they do is allow you to fire the 22lr in another chamber without regard to accuracy meaning, "Put in this end and it's gonna come out this one".

I bought mine about a year ago from Cabellas. I use it in a 10" 223 with a 1.5X4 scope to shoot 22 lr.. It is a neat little tool and shoots more accurately than my Ruger Mark 1 with iron sights. It is a little slow between shots because you must remove the adaptor and punch out the empty shell. A 22 adaptor increases the versatility of a very versitile handgun. For twenty bucks how could you go wrong?
