Does any one know anything about the CVA Mackinaw .50 cal.? I found one at a pawn shop that looks in very good shape, maybe never fired, and was wondering if they are a good shooter. It looks like a 26" barrel. I can get it for $60.00 but being very new to muzzleloading I am not sure what all to look for.

iwoodbutcher,
I'm not familiar with that model, but CVA makes a perfectly utilitarian rifle, and if the bore is clean, $60 is a good deal.
