Glass bedding CZ 550
« on: September 13, 2004, 04:23:46 AM »
Are there any tricks to doing a CZ 550 American.  This will be my first bedding project.

Any suggestions?

Kyle

I shall presume you've been researching the bedding process and know in general how it works.  Thus your simply looking for idiosyncrasies with your question.  The short answer is 'no'.  The CZ is very nearly a mauser and the general procedure will be the same for both with an exception for the detachable magazine. Themagazine is not inserted while the action is being bedded.  Also the practice of bedding the magazine box to help with recoil distribution is not a good idea.  Good luck and remember the first rule of glass bedding, use plenty of release agent, everywhere, even where you don't believe it'll ever go!  It most certainly will!!

Gunnut,

That is what I wanted to know.  Just thought it would be a good idea to check for anything specific to the CZ 550.  No detachable magazine on this one.
