I don't know about the 30-30, but I imagine you would have to develope a load to make them work. I have been working with them in a 30-06 to go coyote hunting with my daughter, she shoots a .243 handi with a 60 grain hollow point. I'm hoping the little 55 grain bullet will not create the pelt damage of the larger bullet. With 50 grains of IMR-3031 I'm able to keep them in about 1 1/2 inches at 50 yards, which is good enough for the distance I will be shooting. Most of the data that I've read indicates that the sabot will not give the acceracy of a .223, 22-250 or such, however I can see it increasing the versatility of the 30 calibers. Also what I've read indicates that you must have a clean barrel of copper and lead fouling to get any kind of accuracy, and your faster burning powders will work better.
