GB, would you trade your .257JDJ for anything...or is it that good? Been thinking about getting a carbine in that caliber.

No I can't think of anything I'd consider trading it for. I'd say it will likely be with me from now on. It is a chambering I long wanted before I got it and now that I have it I see no reason to let go of it. I think it would make an excellent rifle round also. To me it is the perfect round for the contender.

I have a SS 14" SSK 257 JDJ. Even the fireform loads are accurate. It is clsoe to my custom 17 HMR bbl in accuracy. Easy to load for and very accurate.

There is a guy who sends in articles to SIXGUNNER regularly under the name of Crazyman. I think it gives his real name from time to time. He is really sold on the .257 JDJ and I think did another piece on it just recently, maybe last issue or the one before. He has used it on some pretty big critters and at some really long ranges. It is a real winner. There are several who post here either regularly or at least from time to time who have them. Don't think I've heard anyone who has one that didn't like it.

NO. That is The SIXGUNNER, official journal of Handgun Hunters International a sponsor of this site. You can see their banner in the rotation or just click on the SSK banner at top of the Forums Index Page and look it up in their index. JD Jones of SSK owns HHI. Membership is $25 per year for six issues of handgun hunting info.
