I have been having a problem with skunks around my house!!
I want to know if a skunk in a bodygripper sprays? What is the most effective way to deal with this problem?

sometimes they spray sometimes they dont :shock: yu might try a box trap.

My mother's had great success with cage traps lined with those thick black garbage bags and then drowning them afterwards (skunks don't spraywhen drowned).

.22 short hp behind the front legs. Very rarely spray when dispatched that way.

Skunk smell. It is the smell of money. I would use it as colonge I love it so much. It would also keep people away from me which would be even better. But it would also run the young ladys away too which isn't so good, so that idea is out.

But as far as your question goes most of the time they do not spray when caught well in a 120, but once in a while they will. a 22 short behind the legs generally does not lead to any spray as skidway said but I have been known to miss the lungs and heart and then they do spray. If you pick them up by the tail they will not spray untill they reach up with their front feet and grab thir back then they will. So basicly I know of no fool proof method.
