For variable targets like HP silhouette, or when I see a coyote laying on a snowie slope a long way off, my pet is my .308 Rem 700 varmint synthetic with a second generation Springfield Armory scope.
This scope when you load a 168 gr sierra match bullet @ 2600 fps, the ranging redicals are right on the mark.It makes no difference if your holding on 200 yds or 600.
My scope has no parallax adjustment and it is parallax free. With the 30 mm tube and that big 56 mm objective there no fuzzy edges or distortions, and the adjustments are 1/8 minute.
I bought this scope rebuild for $300. I don't care if you spend $2000. you wont find a rifle scope that is brighter in low light. I have a lot of so called top of the line scopes, this one is a step above all. Some day I would like to have the third generation.
