I use a pretty much max load of RL25 topped off with a 150 gr partition lit by a Fed 215 pr. Chono's out from 3400 to 3500 fps depending on ambient outside temp. I won't tell you the exact charge weight because every gun is different. That's why you work up from a starting load to find your max for your gun. With a 26" bbl I'd start being real cautious if your pushing those 150's past 3500. Once again each gun is different. I received some of my loading data from alliant. I'd guess that about 86-87 gr would be a good place to start from for charge weight. A good chronograph and .0000 micrometer for measuring case head expansion should be part of your useful tool for this big hotrod 7. Get yourself some reliable data....not mine....and follow it. That will get you to the ballgame. Some swear by retumbo powder by hodgdon. They have data online. I've only done IMR7828 for 140's and RL25 for 150's. I use the gun only for hunting so I really like the way the 150 partition performs for me. I have some 160 accubonds I may tinker with however. If your shooting a Rem 700 you'll probably want to make your OAL of your reloads as long as your magazine will permit. Both my ultra's have very long throats. Accurate though. My 7 will do .75 @100 if I can hold it steady!
