I have owned a Knight Wolverine (.50 cal, precussion cap) for about 9 years. Recently, I became interested in seeing how accurate I could make this gun. Well two Saturdays ago I got it to shoot a 3 shot group measuring .35" at 100 yards. I was happy to say the least, except that during the course of this shooting session, I had two misfires that appeared to be the result of a weak hammer drop. Upon re-cocking, both misfires shot on the next try.
I called Knight's customer service and the told the technician the above story. He stated that this was probably due to a weakened hammer assembly spring and/or old nipple. He proceeded to send me a new one of each AT NO CHARGE, not even for shipping.
Well, I recieved this in no time and proceeded to make the change as directed. But in dissasembling the hammer assembly to install the new spring, the head of the back stop button that holds the secondary safety in place twisted off.
I called Knight's customer service again, and got a different gentleman who was just as nice as the first guy. I told him what happened, and he said no problem and sent me an entire new hammer assembly AT NO CHARGE. I placed the call on Friday afternoon and had the package on the following Wednesday.
I don't know about any of you out there, but in my experience this is a great company that makes a great product and stands behind what they do.
Just wanted to take a few minutes and give credit where credit is due.
