Hope someone may be able to help me:

    I shot a 270 (hogs 200 yards max), I love the pointed soft tip core-lokt 130 grain........................but I want to shoot a 150  grain................and in core-lokt they only offer a round nose in 150 grain......................should i go to winchester............they offer a 150 grain pointed soft point.

  Thanks guys

My favorite 150 for the .270 Win. is a Nosler 150 PT. Federal loads this in their Premium line and I've never been able to handload as accurately as it shoots in all of my .270s so gave up trying.

Hornady loads a 140 SP in their Custom Ammo line and like the above Federal load it is more accurate than any handload I've been able to come up with. Those are the only two loads we use on game anymore in the .270 Win.. Just load the stuff for practice and playing and shoot the factory stuff when hunting.

Are the 130's not doing the job on the hogs?
