Problems and a solution 45LC heavy loads
« on: October 11, 2004, 02:54:45 PM »
I admit it, I did not do enough research when I bought my 45 Long Colt Mountain pistol.  I thought since it was an N frame S&W it would.  After a lot of thought I found the solution, I bought another pistol a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454.  Now all I have to do is color code my case heads when I reload.

You got to love it when the solution is another new Gun
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.  Some stay awhile and leave footprints on our hearts.  And we are never.  Ever the same.   Authur unknown.  In memory of my son Jonathan.

Color code 45 Colt brass with heavy 45/454 pressure loads?

I wouldn't.

I have only Ruger - not S&W 45s and I still shell out a little more for the 454 brass (I like Starline). It's just not worth the mistake. Even if you don't get hurt you might wreck the gun and that one is a beauty. I have a 44 Mountain Gun love it.
