I didn't know the dumcrap party was that old.  :-D  :-D . I read years ago that the longbow was banned in England for all but the military because of it's ability of being such a long range weapon that could penetrate a soldiers armour. POWDERMAN.  :D  :D

I believe it was also considered dishonourable to some degree as was the crossbow in its turn. Because of its annonomous nature. With a sword its much more personal.
