Does it fit you! Is it the correct draw length? If yes, then it is a good deal!

You did very well!  What cam system does it have, is it the Furry dual cam or the single cam and wheel Fuzion system?

What weight range does it go?

I have two of these with Fuzion cams where you can change an inexpensive module and set it for different draw lengths.

Good luck with your new equipment.

That arm slap is an indication that it is too long of a draw for you.  You should have your elbow slightly bent and it should not be hitting you at all.

I think you have only one inch of adjustment in draw length with the dual cam Furry setup.  You might be able to compensate some by shooting off the string with a release rather than using a loop.  You also might consider using a different anchor point a little further back, that together with the slight bend at the elbow may eliminate the slap to your arm.

After you put a new string on it you will also have to retune it.  You did not say what kind of rest you are using.  I like the Wisker Biscuits, particularly the Deluxe models which have both the windage and elevation adjustments.  It makes it a whole lot easier when you are tuning your bow and trying to get your broadheads and field points to hit to the same place.

String Loop is the way to go...Less wear on your serving and also eliminates nock pinch...Also Thomas may be correct on your draw length BUT it may also be a grip problem...Are you holding the bow with an open hand at draw or are you "clenching" it??? Do you have big forarms??? String slap is 99.9% of the time from one of those three things..Draw length,,,Grip,,,Big ass arms...Go back to your pro shop and have them take a look at your form and advise them of the string slap...This is not only PAINFULL :(  but it GREATLY hinders performance...It will slow your arrow...It can give you right left tailing,,all kinds of bad stuff...Plus id bet you are shooting with a short sleeved shirt on...Now come archery season you will more than likely have a long sleeved shirt on  affecting it even more...Good luck to ya

had all the stuff put on like i said i was goin to . the draw length was long and bow was out of adjustment so they put a little shorter string and that did it . BUT it went from 65# to 55# but its a lot easyer to shoot . i did get a arm protector and did'nt need it .the draw length fixed that . got the sights set again and shot for about 2 hours . the last 3 or 4 groups i shot was the size of a coffee can lid . may not be able to do that all the time but not bad for not have shot a bow in 15 or so years .
