Federal Premium Ballistic Tip
« on: September 20, 2004, 09:35:19 AM »
My 7-08 shoots Fed Premium Ballistic Tip Ammo (140 grain) pretty well.  I would like to try and duplicate it on the bench.  I pulled the bullet and measured 41.0 grains of an extruded powder.

Any guess as to what powder this may be?

Thanks for any help.

I would not venture to guess.  Infact, you probably could not buy the powder they use anyway.  But, in a couple of 7m-08's that I have loaded for Reloader 15 worked real well.
