I need your help guys

I will be deer hunting soon...........................for a week............i normally snap two caps off before I load it..................this time I will be hunting for a week and would like to keep the gun loaded all week...................of course I will take the primmer off each night..........my question is this...............is the fouling from those two caps enough to corrode my barrel if I wait until i shoot it,.............or wait until the end of the week.

Thanks Guys

Primers are not corrosive, or so I have been told. I once snapped three caps; hunted all day each day for a four days, left the rifle with powder and conical in it for two weeks and did not have any rust or pitting.
If I had fired the rifle just once and then reloaded and left it even overnight were would have been corrision.

I leave guns loaded sometimes for a month or more after snapping a 209 in them. I've never had any problems.

Put a patch over your cleaning jag...run down barrel, and pop off your caps...this lets you know that the flash channel is open...and leaves no residue in barrel...flintlock

Does anybody else use a shot from a can of compressed air, in the breech plug hole before loading. Sometimes I just hold my huntsman
(broken) up to the light and look through the primer hole....
I leave my huntsman loaded, of course storing without primer when not in the woods. Have not had a problem for over a month. I have heard of some who leave loaded for extended times, unprimed. Not sure that this is a good policy... Opinions?

I also just hold my Omega up to the sky with the breech open and look through the plug to see if the flash hole is open.  If it looks a little clogged, I just use a nipple pick that I bought at Cabelas and run the wire up in the breech plug and clean out the flash hole.  So far I have never had a mis-fire with this method.
