Isn't this something? Back in the late 50s, early 60s, these things were sold by Ye Old Hunter and others by the pound. As I recall, about 97 cents per pound. Made them about $14 each. An Uncle bought one and rebarreled it to 45-70. Big old octagon bbl weighted a ton. Used what he called a duplex load: 3 gr of bullseye and then a case full of black powder under a heavy cast bullet.
Wish I had it today. Fun to shoot, big bang and smoke everywhere.
