Rafouss rounds.
« on: October 04, 2004, 02:53:21 PM »
The other day I was looking through the internet, and being a .50 BMG fan and shooter, I noticed someone had "procured" rafouss rounds.  The way that he explained it was they were loaded in different brass of some sort.  Having gotten out of the Army in Novemeber '03, I know that it is darn near impossible to get Rafouss rounds.  They looked like the real deal, though.  $15 Dollars apiece was the asking price.  Just wondering if any of you had seen these on the market.

I have one in Greek brass (50 BMG) but I suspect much of what's floating around the Net is API with a newly applied green tip! Especially at $15 apiece since the genuine article usually goes for about twice that.

You'll find them in many different types of 50 brass depending on the country of assembly.

The biggerhammer site is a good source of info as is Mr Keith Pagel, who posts there often.
