There are several cannon builders sites out there. I sure wish I could afford a 12lb. Napoleon with cassion. Target shooting with that requires 1 lb. of BP per shot. Service load was about 2lb. BP depending on range & particulars. WAY COOL. :grin:

JoseGrande,

Those full size guns can be budget busters.  Join the N-SSa and I'll bet you could find a guncrew to join up with.


Wander through our forum and you will find some alternatives to get involved in cannon shooting.

Here is my scale model of a gun that was on the U.S.S Cairo when it was sunk at the battle of Vicksburg. It has a 1 inch bore. It's roughly 1/6 scale of the original. This is a serious piece and doesn't shoot blanks!
