Any suggestions for a trigger job on an Encore. I can not find a local who has done one. Looking for Gun Smith in the Baltimore/Annapolis area.

I sent mine to SSK - you can ship the frame only by UPS ground for $13.00 insured. Mine took just under two weeks - I'm going to send another one soon.

Go to mike bellms web site. He sells replacement trigger springs and has a cd you can download that shows you how to do the job. T C look farther back in these postings and it tells you how to bend your factory spring to lighten your pull. Good luck

I just did the spring bending thing on all my Encores. The change was fantastic. I really have some nice triggers on all of them and it only takes about 5 min apiece. Although I had already pollished the sear surfaces when I bought them. That took a little time. Take note when bending the spring, push it down once only. I did the first one twice and had to remove it and bend it back a little. KN

Bullberry done mine and they did a real good job on it. They only charge $35.00 + s.h. Makes a world of difference.

easy as pie, and still satisfied with mine. i did seem to notice the trigger feeling slightly heavier than when i first did it. which thats great on the G2 frame, because i lightened it a little too much first time around.

Hello TC,

For those who prefer not to do their own trigger work on either Contenders or Encores, here is a great suggestion. This man has done ALL my T/C triggers and I believe he has done many if not most of Ladobe's triggers. They are inexpensive, yet his work is of the highest quality and he has many YEARS of experience - I typically get my T/C triggers turned around in 2-3 days. Give him a try and you won't be sorry with how he does business (try him with just one trigger job and you'll never go anywhere else!). I did mine after reading the post here on this site.
I am no gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination, but it was very simple and made the pull about 2 lbs. and smooth as silk.
The gun started grouping like it was a totally different gun than I had at the range the day before.............
