Here is a target I shot yesterday in preparation for deer season.  It is only 3 shots because GS Custom bullets are over a $1 per bullet.  They perform great but they are withheld for hunting and punching paper for hunting.  After this I made windage and elev correction for 2 inches high at 100yds

The load info is specifically for my rifle with the GS Custom bullet with help from Gerard and may be unsafe for any other rifle.

The barrel is VVGC Chrome moly, 26", .850" sporter, octagonal, with Lone wolf fiberglass stock and forend.

Group size is .331" center to center.

I just spent the whole day shooting my .308 and.50 cal ml rifle barrels today, and though my results weren't quite as good as yours ( I only managed crappy .5 in groups)     it has just occurred to me that shooting such quality firearms sure puts alot of pressure on during hunting season!! No one is ever gonna believe it was the gun's fault if I miss.

Toe,

LOL....Tell us more...barrel details load details and groups.

I have my 50cal ML shooting about 1.5" groups but that is as good as I have gotten.  Have not played with it much.  Mayber I will try some thisa weekend.

sorry so late on this post, been out of town. To be honest, the .308 shoots .5" with 150gr. sierra pro hunters and 43 grs of imr 4385. The 165 gr nosler BT's shoot at least that or better w/41 gr. Both are loaded .005 off the end of the chamber. The muzzle loader was shooting .75" groups until the other day when something changed and now I can't do anything better than 2-3 inches! two shots will just about touch and the third will be way out.  Still doing everything the same, all is the same except maybe the humidity. Gonna try again tomorrow, we'll see.
Just shot a doe on the damage permit last week with the .308 and the 150 sierra's, she went only 20yds but not one drop of blood or cut hair, I traced every step she took with no signs at all. recovered the bullet, perfect mushroom!
The bow is right on, the shotgun is deadly, the rifle is pinpoint, but the muzzleloader is only minute of deer and that will never do. I guess I'll have to figure it all out, too bad, more time at the range.
This really is the greatest time of the year. good luck to you all :D

Nice group Redman

Try some T/C Shockwaves in the .50cal. Mine will put three 5/8 of a inch at a 100 yards with 2 pyrodex pellets. The ML barrel will out shoot all the rest of my barrels except my .223 barrel.

Don't over look the barnes Expander MZ.  I use them in my encore and they shoot better than anything else.  They are also devestating on whitetails.  They look like a tea cup with that huge hollow point.
