Need Help Locating Grandmother

  My father and mother divorced when I was too young to remember (less than 2 y/o). His father, George W. Dines, passed away in November of 1989 and I received notification from my mother's grandmother. Unfortunately she passed away some 10 years ago.

  My father's parents had a lifetime lease on a small parcel of land in Shelbyville, MI near Gun Lake (IIRC, on Wildwood Road). I recall stopping by their home after Grandpa George passed away to see my Grandma Gert. She wasn't home that day and I have never seen her again. I have since been by there a few times in passing to see there's no house there anymore. Her health wasn't so good in the mid to late 80's when I last saw her.

  My father hasn't spoken to me since 1982 and I have tried contacting him several times in the last 5 years. I tried a few searches online after reading through this forum to no avail. I can find George W Dines, but no record of his marriage or his wife's full name anywhere.

  Since joining the Army in 1994, I have moved about every 3 or 4 years. It's rare that I get a chance to go back to Michigan and visit. So, unfortunately, using the Allegan County public library just isn't much of an option for me.

  If anyone has access to a better system for searching, will you please take a look for Gertrude Dines? Her husband, George W. Dines, was born in 1907, I would expect her to be born within 10 years of that year.

Do you have a last place of residence for your paternal grandfather, George W. Dines?  A death notice perhaps?
On some of the dedicated genealogy forums, often you will find volunteers who will do look-ups, locally, for particular state, county queries.  That might be something to look into.

Dinny,  I did a search on Google for Gertrude Dines in Michigan.
 
Here is what I found.
 
Gladys "Gertrude" Marie Sharkey Dines born April 25, 1931 in Edmore, Montcalm County, Michigan and died December 5, 1999 in Hastings, Barry County, Michigan.
 
Oak Hill Cemetery, Orangeville, Barry County, Michigan
Plot: Lot 284- No headstone

Dinny, I did and search for a marriage between Gladys and George and I found this.
 
George W Dines married Gladys Sharkey on Oct 1954 in Stanton, Montcalm County, Michigan.
