What set of "gunsmith" screwdrivers do you recommend and where to get them. Messed up some screws again today with my normal ones. Thanks in advance.

Don't mess up your screws!!  You don't get them often enough. :-D
Run down to Wal-Mart Sporting goods.  I picked up a good B-Square set at my local Wal-Mart for $10.  If they don't have them, they can order them for you.

Also, Midway or Midsouth has them inexpensive.

I've tried the B-square and I didn't like them.  Still wouldn't fit screws right.  I broke down and purchased a set of Brownells Mag na tip.  They were pricey but worth every penny.

I have a set of B-Square and they are not very good quality.  The blades are twisted on almost all of the tips on mine.  I have a few sets of Hoppes that the extra blades go in the handle.  I got them on clearance at an out of the way gun store for 5 bucks a piece.  I have not seen them anywhere else.  I always wanted a set of the higher dollar ones, but it has not been a priority for my money at this time.

I picked up a set of Dillon Precision Gunsmithing screwdrivers about 15 years ago that has served me well to this day.

I second the recommendation for the Brownells Magna Tips.  I bought a set two years ago and use them regularly.  Besides the screw driver attachments, I have found the allen head and torx bits to be a very usefull and worthwhile addition to the set.

I went to the local automotive garage and had the mechanic ask the Snap-On driver for some samples of their small screwdrivers. After looking at the samples, I was confident that Snap-On quality beat anything I had seen yet. They aren't cheap but are well worth the price!

Flash:

I agree on the quality of Snap-On tools, but are the screwdrivers ground to fit gun screws?

If you're refering to the width of the blades, yes they are ground to the proper width. I bought individual screwdrivers in both Philips and Straight bits and they work great. The Remington Rem-Grip screwdrivers with coated tips are a winner too. I'm not too sure what they're coated with but they sure do bite.
