High Tech recurve?

I've considered the purchase of a PSE Coyote recurve, since it has a machined riser and add on all the "bells and whistles" that would be installed on a conventional compound. A sight, rest, carbon arrows, release, etc. would "dress" it up nicely.

This bow would be used mostly for 3-D archery shoots, but hunting with it wouldn't be out of the question.

Has anyone tried this? How did it work out for you?

Your opinions and experience is appreciated.

Same type of thing they use in the olympics.  Although if I were going with all the bells and whistles I would just buy a compound.  Shoot what is legal and makes you happy.

I own a coyote 50lb. I shoot it bare bow but yes you could do what you sujest.The coyote is fast for a recurve but it has a low brace hight and is not the most stable of recurves,It will not forgive bad form.About the only good thing I can say about the coyote is that after shooting it my other recurves are eazyer to shoot.
