teaching p-dogs tricks with a CZ 527 Lux in .223 Remington

:D Howdy all. I noticed how the p-dogs were out so I went down on New Mexico 117 into an area frequented by p-dogs and sure enough, there they were, standing up there like little drunk men with beer bellies hanging out. I drove up an old road to this special place I know of, at least it was last year and the p-dogs were there too. I have a CZ 527 Lux in .223. It is fueled by Remington cases, 26.5 grains of Winchester 748 powder, Sierra 55 grain bullets and Federal small rifle primers. Out of the CZ barrel that is good for slightly more than 3200 fps and it is more accurate than I ever dreamed of being. Anyway, I mounted a Simmons Classic 6.5x20x50 scope on it. That rifle is petite to begin with, but slap a granite finished scope like that on the thing with that huge 50mm objective lense and it looks like I mounted a large-screen television set up there on top the rifle.   Anyway, we went out shooting p-dogs and before long Tom (my hunting bud) and I had them doing all sorts of tricks, like backflips right out of their burrows, headless sideway spins and two-half splits. Longest shot was measured with laser at 423 yards, but most shots were in the range of 100 to 175 yards. I cannot say enough for that CZ 527.  8) I just wish I could have gotten a Lux barrel with the CZ 527 American stock.   That humpback stock does not work all that well with me and scope acquisition. Anyway, had a great day out there this past weekend. We only took 50 round with us and I think we ended up with about 25 p-dogs.  :? The wind was blowing like heck here in New Mexico. I think the only time the winds stop is to change directions. Have a tolerable day all ... Tom Purdom

Sounded like a fun trip.
Sorry to hear you only took 50 rounds.
