Graybeard: explain 100 Top Sites

Noticed that Graybeard Outdoors is the 6th site in 100 top sites.  Also notice that it changes now and then.  Would you explain how that works?
thanks

It is just one of several such sites that rank other sites based on the traffic they get. This one has a whole slew of topics to chose from and we chose Hunting as the one most appropriate from their list to describe the site. They count kinda funny tho. For instance they count only ONE AOL user per day to the site. Same for any other ISP that rotates the IP Addresses among the folks using it. That artifically deflates the real activity level of a site. They use the weekly average of Unique visitors to the site as their measurement criteria.

We found another and joined it and immediately went to the #1 spot on it but it was slowing the site down as it couldn't handle the traffic load we were putting on it so we got out of it quickly.

Just another way of showing how really large this site is and how popular.

I think anywhere in the top 100 would be impressive as many hunting sites as there are. Being in the top 10  makes me glad I use this one.

It sure does. And not all of that bickering that goes on on the wire. I learned a lot over there. But lately all I've learned is that everybody is a cheater except the guy posting. Not sure where they all live but they must shoot together. I've never seen people act that way at a match. I guess they think when a jerk puts on a cowboy hat they are supposed the salt of the earth. I think if you live in a place where people are jerks, it's going to be a jerky local match. Maybe they should drive out of state. Lots of nice folks where I live. How about you guys?

The folks at the clubs I shoot with are there to have fun SAFELY, and are the kind you wouldn't mind having over for dinner.  If that wasn't the case, I'd look elsewhere for my CAS activities.

Yep, this is THE best site around, in my opinion. I used to visit quite a few, but now I check the SASS Wire for a few minutes, mainly to see if any of the North Alabama Regulators are causin' trouble, then I head over here to see all my new friends. I LOVE this place.

Old Cane, yoiu hit the nail on the head about the SASS Wire. Seems like every day someone has his  tail in a kink over something. It is much more peaceful over here.  And I think the main reason is that Marshall Graybeard takes such a personal interest in things.  :-D That other place is just a place I visit every now and then. This is my new home! Y'all come on down to the Saloon, drinks are on me! :D
