Last night at work I had a question about the sidekick vs. the new frontier beartooth. I notice that the beartooth doesn't need a primer thing and I wondered if that works to its advantage. Although, I 've been impressed from the posts about the sidekick. I plan on going to BPS sunday, and if possible If I could get some feed back which one would be better.

My Huntsman puts sabots or Great Plains 385gr slugs in a 1 inch circle at 50yds with t7 or pyrodex.
The factory trigger  is one of the best I have experienced.
The H&R factory gives great service and they are made in the U.S.
Buy American

I had 4 CVA inlines.  Then I got my Huntsman with the primer carrier.  I really like it.  I don't need a capping tool anymore.  I love being able to cap/uncap with just my fingers.  Using pyrodex pellets and powerbelts, you can get off a second shot in just a few seconds if you have the pieces and rod all ready.  It's safer also.  The primer carrier extends out of the breech a bit so you can tell if the gun is primed with just a glance.

I agree on it's great trigger.  NEF says it's a 5 pound trigger, yeah right!  More like 2.5-3 pounds.  And it's hammer is silent while cocking.  My dumb CVA Optima made a sound like a walnut cracking when you cocked it.  Sitting in your blind with the hammer cocked, because it's too loud to cock when a deer is around really stinks.  It's also as accurate as anything I've seen..  That means 1" at 50 yards which is as good as these old eyes can do.  -  Joe
