Haywire: may I opine, Sir.. Thank ya! You can find the Swedish tall front sights at either Numrich as Big Paulie mentioned or at Samco, or Sarco. One of the later two sell a kit with blades of different heights. Also, the Brownells catalog sells a replacement front sight blade for Mausers but you have to file it down to get it to hit. However, they also have a formalary for figuring out how high or low your front sight has to go to get it to hit where ya want it without adjusting the rear sight blade. So, you could figure out how tall a blade you need to bring your poi to poa at your determined distance.
Yes, one of those firms, or Federal Arms, sells the rear sight replacement scout scope mount for those rifles. I dunno, the looks appeals to me but the fuction doesn't. I'm much more accustomed to a short eye relief scope than one of the longer ones - some guys are really quick on those but I'm not one of them.
If you are dealing with a Yugo 48/48A, I would tap it, scope it, trigger it right and enjoy the hay out of it. That would then be a take anywhere, do anything kind of rifle. But all this is just my two cents worth. Mikey.
