Shureshot, I am currently using a bigger 50  the 50-140 sharps in a pedesoli replica of a Remington Rolling Block. Accuracy on a good day is in the vicinity of 5 shots into 2 1/2 inches @ 100yds thats using 135 grains of Elephant with a felt wad under a 540 grain Rcbs bullet and that really hurts. I have only shot this with Black Powder and Pyrodex as I would be a bit concerned about the amount of air space over the powder with smokeless loads. These rifles are real easy to clean even after shooting Black powder.

hi,    vic from down under,   have made a 50/95  on a henry martini action using a revamped .451 enfield barrel bored out to 50cal, threaded up and cut chamber on lathe .   the 451 enfield barrel is a parker hale hammer forged.  made lapping tool also.    the cases i used were 348 winchester   fire formed in chamber on fireing , paper patched 565gr soft lead projectile,  cases fire formed after 3shots with the help of 103gr o 2f powder not for the faint harted bunts a bit.  to date will group about 2 inches at 100yds  have to fit up extractor and finish off the wood work to look like original using rock maple .        regards vic
