i was dealing on a s&w 617 six inch barrel. long story short, i was out bid. but boy was i wanting that sucker. in my defense, it was an older model. ended up going for $346. i quit at $336. cant win them all, i guess. did i mention it was unfired? oh well, time to start jones-ing for the next prospective addition to the collection. :lol:

Sorry you were so close and came home empty, but that's what makes it an auction.

I'm in a very weird place lately.....I always want more guns, but right now there's nothing that I'm lusting after. I guess something will jump up and get my attention eventually, but it's very strange not to be lusting after a particular model of gun!

The S&W 500 is the new 50 caliber S&W pistol isn't it. I saw one today at the gunshop. It's HUGE!. I asked them to get it out of the case for me just so I could handle it, and it does have some weight. They had if for sale for around 800 bucks. Did I mention that it's HUGE?

Let's see...
We have the IMI BFR in 500 W/10", 6", and 7.5" bbl all run 850.94
The S&W 8.375" BBL 836.79
The S&W 4"BBL 969.60
And the Taurus 10" runs 704.74

Let me know if you'd like one they sell pretty quick. We also have ammo for them if needed.
