Midsouth is great!!
« on: October 12, 2004, 05:08:05 AM »
After visiting their website, I've concluded they are a great place to do business - matter of fact, I ordered a Gamo Compact air pistol from them this morning. The prices are very competitive and they have a good selection.  Another internet operator was advertising this same pistol for a very low price. They were advertised without the info. that they were refurbished guns. Refurbished guns can be OK ( I lucked out on one I bought ) but sellers should be forthright and tell you what you are buying. I'm suspicious when I see a price way below what all the others are asking - it could be a refurb.

Plus Midsouth does not gouge you with overblown "shipping charges". Was going to order a trigger for my Marlin from Midway until I found the shipping was going to be $10 - for a trigger that weighs a few ounces? Midsouth was charging me less to ship an entire air rifle. Too many other mail order companies are out to make a killing on shipping these days - bunch of BS , as long as they carry an item I need, I will stick with Midsouth.

Heah guys, howsa' 'bout a LINK to this vendor?

BTW, what's the vendor selling refurbed Gamos?!

You will LOVE your Compact. I've been shooting mine indoors for around a month now. It's a pleasure to cock, and does not leave you fatigued after a long session.

watch the banners here on Gray Beard and the mid South ads will come up.  I've had good results buying fom Mid South too. Don't do a lot of business with 'em but have been satisfied when I did.

Refurb Shadow 1000

I bought mine at midwayusa.com. They sell both new and refurb. Their new price isn't that great. The refurb was $99. It wasn't even broken in - I have been doing that - but it did have a couple of small scratches on the stock.

Final report on Midsouth

My gun came and the postage was $1.50 less than they had estimated and several dollars less than other dealers were asking.
