I am looking for off the shelf products, not custom built.Anybody know of  what we might expect to see next year?

You can get a Remington 7600 in .35 Whelen from Grices.  They're listed on the Remington web site at www.remington.com/firearms/specials/htm.

I'm not really familiar with bolt actions, but I think they also have 700's in .35 Whelen as well.  Last I heard they were chambering their new model 673 in .350 RemMag.

Ruger made a special run of the M-77 mkII in .35 Whelen for Davidson's a few years ago.  You might check Davidson's website and see if any are left in stock.

H&R/New England Firearms (NEF) made a .35 Whelen Ultra Handi Rifle in single shot which is a real winner, accurate, light and relatively inexpensive. The caliber was dropped a couple of years ago and they are in demand. I am a lucky owner of one and would not part with it. They do however occasionally come up at the on-line gun auctions. If you see one buy it. They are great guns in a great caliber with an unbeatable warranty....<><.... :grin:

There's custom and then there's custom. You oughta be able to get a used .30-06 Mauser rebarreled to .35 Whelen for $200-$250. Much less if you can do the work yourself.

Remington CDL and there are a bunch of older remington classics out there too.  I have one of the rugers from davidsons.  It took a trip back to ruger but since its been back it is absolutely reliable and will shoot into 3/4" with hornady 250gr RN @ 2450fps, and shoot 225gr sierras into 1.5" @ 2650fps.  You can't beet the whelens.  My only complaint is that the old style synthetic stock from ruger is UGLY..... I would replace it but a man would have to be a fool to mess with a gun that already shoots this good.  I pulled it out of the case after two years, put three rounds out the bore to check zero and had a nice .5 group 1" high at 100 yards.  I guess its still zero'd in!!!

I just bought a brand new Ruger 77 in 350RM, 22" barrel, wood stock. I don't believe this is a special run firearm.
