Model # of H&R Break top??
« on: July 07, 2004, 02:01:34 AM »
:D

I think H&R used to make a 6" bbl, Adj. sight, break-top .32 mag in the years right before they got out of the handgun biz. A "Sportsman" or something...

Anyone know of the model # on such a critter. I want to know what I'm seaching for in the used market.

I have a fixed sight, 2.5" bbl NEF that is my wife's primary gun, but want the other model for fun shooting. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks - perklo

Quick,

Close, but they made an adjustable rear sight, top-break auto ejector revolver in .22 and (I think) .32 mag...

I want the exact model number of the .32 so I can do searches within Gunbroker and Auction Arms to locate one.

Thanks for the reply! - perklo   :D

My books show only one H&R top-break of modern manufacture, and that's a .38 S&W.

All the .22 Mag and .32 H&R Mag revolvers were swing-out and/or western-style, according to what I have. (which ain't much!)

H & R used to make some beautiful top break .22 long rifles...especially a model # 999 with vent rib and adjustable sights.

Tried one out once, DIDN"T buy it...

It is one of those things I have done that I very much regret doing>>>

I've seen a H&R 38 S&W top break revolver but don't know what the model is. I own a 22lr top break H&R model 999 and its a really nice little revolver with a four inch barrel and holds nine shots.  The trigger is a little heavy and rough but good enough for a plinker.
